Getting started

Is OneLoveDomino free?

Yes. Every mode is free to play. The site is supported by ads.

Do I need an account?

You need a free account to play, so your games, scores and badges are saved. The rules, the interactive tutorial and the leaderboard are open to everyone.

Can I install it like an app?

Yes. Use the Install button on the home page (or "Add to Home Screen" in your browser's menu) for a full-screen app with its own icon. Nothing to download from an app store.

How do I learn to play?

Start with the interactive tutorial: it walks you through a whole round against bots in about three minutes. The How to Play page has the full rules, game modes and tips.

Playing

How many players are at a table?

Four. On a casual table the owner can fill up to two empty seats with bots; Solo games are you against three bots.

How do I play with my friends?

Create a private table in the lobby and share its 8-character join code. Your friends enter the code to take a seat.

What is Ducks?

A house rule that ends the game as soon as every player has won at least one round. Whoever has the most round wins at that point wins the game. It's on by default; a table can switch to First to 6 instead.

What happens if I lose my connection?

Your seat is held for a while so you can reconnect and carry on. If it's your turn, the game plays a legal domino for you after a short countdown. If you don't come back, your remaining turns are played automatically and leaving counts as an abandoned game.

Can I watch other games?

Yes, while spectating is open: games in progress are listed in the lobby with a Spectate button.

Ranking and scores

How does the leaderboard work?

You earn points for winning rounds and games, with bonuses for a key finish, a successful block and dropping SIX on an opponent. The How to Play page lists every rule.

What's the difference between ranked and casual?

Ranked games match you with three other real players, never bots, and only count once the game finishes. Casual points land as each round ends.

Why didn't my ranked game count?

Ranked results start counting a few days after a new account's email is verified. It keeps throwaway accounts from gaming the leaderboard.

Do Solo games count?

No. Bots are beatable on purpose, so Solo games show in your history and earn badges but never affect the leaderboard.

Account and safety

Why was I signed out on another device?

Each account can be signed in on one device at a time. Signing in somewhere new signs the old device out, and an active game moves with you.

How do I report a player?

Open their profile from the lobby or a game and use the Report button. Moderators review every report.

How do I change my username or delete my account?

Both are on your Profile page under Settings.
